Designed for a clean installation without mortar or traditional adhesive, Iris installs using a peel & stick system and standard tile cutting tools. This model requires grout application to complete the visible joints and finish the installation.

Tools required
Common tools for all SpeedTiles models:

Cutting tools (depending on material):
- Large utility knife (for cutting between tiles or mosaics)
- Glass cutter
- Manual tile cutter
- Wet tile saw (recommended for precision cuts)
Key installation steps
- Ensure the surface is clean, smooth, finished, level, and non-porous.
- Plan your layout and dry fit the tiles before installation.
- Cut tiles as needed using appropriate tools.
- Peel and stick tiles directly onto the surface.
- Press firmly to ensure proper adhesion.
- If grout is required for your model, grout the joints and seal according to manufacturer recommendations.
Installation tip — easier positioning
To make positioning easier, we strongly recommend using a spray bottle (500–750 ml) filled with water and 1–2 teaspoons of mild dish soap.
Lightly spray the back of the tile, spread the liquid evenly with your hand, then position the tile on the wall. This technique helps you adjust alignment more easily before final placement.
Tip: Use only a light mist — do not oversaturate.

FAQs
Do SpeedTiles® require a sealant?
Given the porous nature of stone, the use of a sealant is optional, but highly recommended for stone tiles. Any commercial stone sealant will do.
What is the maximum temperature SpeedTiles® can be exposed to?
SpeedTiles® resist temperatures of up to 88 °C (190°F). This means they can be installed behind any type of stove (gas, electric, induction). Caution! For safety reasons, SpeedTiles® should never be exposed to a direct flame.
What type of grout should I use for tiles that require it?
As with any mosaic, we recommend using an unsanded grout.
Can I install SpeedTiles® on my floors?
SpeedTiles® product can only be installed on wall surfaces, not floors because of their thickness (4mm).
Can I install SpeedTiles® around my fireplace?
If you wish to install SpeedTiles® around your fireplace, be sure to leave an edge of at least 3 inches from the firebox opening. This edge should be made of a non-conductive material.
